Seasonal Touring Pitches – Park Rules & Regulations

We hope your stay with us will be an enjoyable one, so we ask for your compliance with the park rules set out below for your own safety and safety and comfort of other guests around you.

  1. No subletting – caravans are for family use and bona fide friends (max 21 days stay with substantial break before return).
  2. Seasonal pitches are for holiday use from March 1st – October 31st. The permanent living in of touring caravans is strictly prohibited and the use of the caravan can be used under fair use only. Touring caravans cannot be used as a base for work. Your touring caravan, awning and pitch must be kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times
  3. Electricity is a 10 amp supply ( 2400 watts / 2.4 kw ) Caravan owners are responsible for the removal of electric hook up leads when the caravan is not in use. Caravan owners are also responsible for making sure that caravans and appliances meet current safety regulations. Only 1 electric hook up outlet to be plugged in at any one time.
  4. The Aberystwyth Holiday Village is not responsible for caravans being unplugged whilst in use or loss of electricity supply at any time.
  5. Electricity is free under fair usage, if the electric supply is abused or excessively used we reserve the right to apply a surcharge not exceeding the price paid by Aberystwyth Holiday Village
  6. Electric cars cannot be charged on site. Bikes, scooters and other non – motorised ride on equipment are allowed, but consideration must be shown to other road users.
  7. The use of generators prohibited.
  8. Under no circumstances can any caravan be moved from its allocated pitch, this includes the moving of caravans within its pitch.
  9. All touring caravans must be fully insured. The Aberystwyth Holiday Village cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to your property unless due to the negligence of Aberystwyth Holiday Village. Please be aware that during periods of inclement weather areas of the park may be slippery underfoot. Surfaces may be icy and / or muddy, please tread with caution.
  10. Awnings are allowed to be kept up permanently, (common sense applies) however, in adverse weather conditions if your awning is affected by the weather there will be a surcharge for removing awning and contents and storage.
  11. During closed winter season all awnings must be removed, this includes any flooring which may have been erected during the summer and under no circumstances are there to be any items stored other than in your locker. No under caravan storage during winter, so therefore all flooring to be removed off site.
  12. There is no moving of caravans on or off pitch during the closed winter period
  13. No sign written works vehicles allowed unless authorised by the office.
  14. Only 1 small storage locker to a maximum size of 4 x 2 can be used per caravan and must not obstruct roadways or neighbours. No wooden sheds.
  15. No pup tents allowed.
  16. The seasonal pitch is not transferable unless agreed by the park owner.
  17. No for sale signs or advertising in windows.
  18. No washing of vehicles or water craft allowed on park.
  19. Please keep your speed limit to a maximum of 10 mph whilst on park as many children are out playing.
  20. Please respect your neighbours at all times of the day and night. Loud music and rowdy behaviour will not be tolerated. If we feel your behaviour is illegal, offensive, disruptive or inappropriate or is disturbing other guests we will ask you to leave the park.
  21. The river Rheidol runs along side our park, it is a great facility, but can be very dangerous as it is a tidal river and water levels and currents can change quickly. Parents are responsible for advising on the dangers of the river and responsible for their children’s supervision at all times.
  22. All children must be supervised by parents or another responsible adult whilst on park. Our facilities are not childcare facilities and children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times and must be supervised accordingly. Please make sure you always know where your children are.
  23. Barbecues are allowed, however, must be self-contained, off the floor and kept under control. Under no circumstances are there to be any fires / fire pits / chimineas of any description, this includes fires within barbecues. Please dispose of COLD barbecue waste in the appropriate bins around the park.
  24. No electric patio heaters to be used.
  25. DOGS: Well trained dogs and other pets are allowed on site. The Aberystwyth Holiday Village reserve the right to refuse permission on any grounds and in particular to refuse permission for certain breeds (including but not limited to dogs listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act ) A maximum of 2 dogs per caravan will be considered for permission. Permission for any animal may be withdrawn at any time, if the dog is a nuisance, and if you are requested to do so by The Aberystwyth Holiday Village the dog must be removed from the park immediately.
  26. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times and under the control of a responsible adult at all times
  27. With the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs, dogs and other pets are not allowed in any of the park`s facilities (including swimming pool, bar, restaurants, food serveries and any buildings on the park and owners are responsible for the behaviour of their pets at all times.
  28. It is strictly forbidden for dogs to be exercised around the park, exercise only in the dog walk or off site.
  29. If your dog fouls, please clean up immediately , this includes the dog walk area.
  30. No dogs allowed in or around play park area, if we think your dog is causing a nuisance to anyone or causing damage you will be required to move it from the park.
  31. Aberystwyth Holiday Village reserve the right to terminate a seasonal pitch. For health and safety reasons some of our facilities and activities have an age and /or height restriction. Children under the age of eight must be accompanied in the swimming pool by a responsible adult and one adult may not supervise more than 2 children under the age of eight. If any child over the age of eight cannot swim unaided then a responsible adult must accompany them in the swimming pool. For queries regarding the swimming pool please see the pool attendant.
  32. We may have to close facilities (eg, for health and safety reasons, maintenance or reasons out of our control).
  33. Entertainment and use of facilities is subject to availability and capacity and from time to time we may have to withdraw or change entertainment or close facilities, we are not liable to you if we have to do so. You are not permitted to bring your own alcohol, drinks or food into any of the facility buildings.

We will do everything we can to make sure you enjoy your stay with us, but sometimes things can go wrong; if this happens please tell us at reception straight away so that we can address any issues and you can continue to enjoy your stay.
